Dear APT family,

Over the summer communities across Northwest Arkansas were affected by a massive weather event which severely impacted Downtown Rogers.  Arkansas Public Theatre has worked tirelessly to bring live theater back, shifting three productions to an alternate location in Springdale, and will continue to provide performance opportunities in the near future.

However, the city-owned Victory Theater sustained significant damage in the May 26 storm.  City administrators, building managers, remediation companies and insurance providers continue their work to restore the building, and we are collaborating closely with all parties. The Victory Theater is an historic building, and as such, restoration and remediation efforts are now forecast to take longer than was initially anticipated, significantly impacting productions planned for 2025.

Beginning in January 2025, all Arkansas Public Theatre productions will be placed on hold while the Victory Theater is restored to full operating conditions.

The Victory Theater has served Northwest Arkansas for nearly 100 years through multiple owners, caretakers and community groups and has been a beacon of hope in Downtown Rogers.  We believe it will yet serve that purpose for many years to come, and we are committed to its future.  As progress is made in restoring the venue, we will update our APT Family and the broader community.  Future audition notices, performance dates and APT news will be shared via traditional outlets, press releases and social media.

We thank you for your continuing support, and we look forward to seeing you all at a future production.

Volunteering

All Productions starting August 2024 - August 2025 are being moved to The Medium, in Springdale, while the Victory Theater is recovering from the severe storms and tornadoes in May 2024.

We are seeking volunteers during performances at the The Medium, in Springdale. Duties include patron check in, directing patrons to their reserved seats and assisting in a light cleanup afterward.

Due to show content, we ask that our ushers are at least 16 years old and our beverage servers are 21+.

You may volunteer for as many nights or as many matinees as you are able.

When seating allows, our volunteers are welcome to watch the performance for free.

Time commitment for volunteering varies from show to show. Please arrive 15-30 minutes PRIOR to doors opening. (i.e. Thursday doors open 7PM. Sunday doors open 1PM.)

Dress code is business casual. No ripped jeans, t-shirts or shorts. Preferably all black or black and white clothing.

There are many other opportunities to help at APT. For more information, contact: Send us a message via our contact page.

If you find that you are unable to volunteer on the date for which you signed up, please go back and remove your sign up. Please email the office if it is within 24 hours so that we can find another to take that position.
